East Midlands - Spring 2025 Service Change

4 weeks ago Tue 4th Mar 2025

We're making some changes to our Nottinghamshire Network from Monday 31st March 2025 primarily affecting Service 93 which is undergoing a significant enhancement in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council and Leicestershire County Council.

From the same date there will also be some changes to our fares which have previously been frozen (excluding changes to the National Bus Fare Cap) for over 18 months.

Service 86 - Barrowby Village > Grantham

We're introducing a new service between Grantham Centre and Barrowby Village via Dysart Road. Service 86 will operate to a generally hourly frequency between approximately 0830 & 1630 daily Monday-Friday and 0830-1530 on Saturdays.

We'll be offering simple flat fares on the 86 with town and network day and season tickets also valid on Service 93.

Service 90 & 92 - Newark > Bingham > Nottingham

There's no changes to the timetable on Services 90 and 92, though they will share a common timetable between Nottingham and Bingham with the extension of Service 93.

There will however be some minor changes to fares.

Service 93 - Grantham > Bottesford > Bingham > Nottingham!

We're delighted to advise we're enhancing Service 93 to run to a generally hourly frequency throughout the day with almost all buses extended beyond Bingham to and from Nottingham!

Buses in Nottingham will follow the same route as Services 90 & 92, starting from the Old Market Square (Beastmarket Hill B3) and then calling at Broadmarsh Bus Station before heading out over Trent Bridge past Meadow Lane, the City Ground and Trent Bridge Stadium to reach the A52.

This extension and frequency increase has been made possible through a joint venture between Central Connect and Lincolnshire and Leicestershire County Councils.

At the Grantham end of the route we'll no longer be serving the Railway Station with all buses now using the Bus Station (Bay 10) instead. We'll still be serving Grantham High Street but the stop at St Peters Hill Surgery will no longer be a principal timing point.

There will be some fare changes on Service 93 from the same date with simplified zonal fares matching the 90 and 92 being introduced. Single fares will remain capped at £3 under the National Bus Fare Cap.
